I was using Derma Pigment Bleaching Fluid at night. When I got pregnant, my skin care professional switched me to Pigment Brightening Serum. Is it safe to use during the day and in my condition? Yes, Pigment Brightening Serum does not contain Hydroquinone which is a known photo-sensitizer. Pigment Brightening Serum can be used safely by pregnant women or nursing moms, even applying twice daily. Keep in mind that during pregnancy you are more vulnerable to hyperpigmentation often referred to as melasma or the “pregnancy mask”. Make sure you always protect your skin from the sun with one of the many GlyMed Plus sunscreens. Using Pigment Brightening Serum twice a day will reduce the risk of this condition.
I am on my third week of using Pigment Brightening Serum and although I see a slight lightening, I had hoped to see a more significant result by now. Is this the wrong product for me? Skin is a very complex and reactive organ. Every individual’s genetics, age, lifestyle, health, etc. will have an impact on how skin reacts to certain ingredients.
