Wrinkle Treatment

Let’s Talk About Wrinkle Treatment

Before we can dive deep into the treatment of something, let’s start at the beginning …

What’s a wrinkle?

A wrinkle, or as some like to lovingly refer to them bunny lines and laugh lines (how sweet), is a sign of aging that presents as a line or fold in your skin.

Wrinkles make us look much older than we feel and no one wants that. The battle against wrinkles is nothing new, which is why so many wrinkle treatments exist.

So, what is wrinkle treatment exactly?

A wrinkle treatment reduces the appearance of wrinkles and creates fantastic skin rejuvenation results. Treatments leave your skin looking refreshed and you feeling beautiful.

    Wrinkle Treatment

The fun part is choosing the right anti-wrinkle treatment for you

Wrinkle treatments differ in price, speed of results, and frequency of treatment. With today’s science and technology, skin rejuvenation has never been easier. The only thing you must do is choose how you want to achieve the dream of rejuvenating fresh skin. Let’s talk options:

    Dysport and Wrinkle Treatment

Does Dysport sound familiar? It is one of the most popular treatments used for wrinkle improvement.

Dysport injections of abobotulinumtoxinA relax the muscles under the skin while also restricting facial muscle movement, preventing the development of new wrinkles.

Yes, you read that right! Dysport treats and prevents wrinkles.

How long do the results of Dysport last?

Results differ from person to person, but the average patient can expect their results to last from 3-6 months. After 3-6 months, injections will need to be repeated to maintain wrinkle-free results.

    Xeomin and Wrinkle Treatment

Xeomin is an injection of incobotulinumtoxinA and achieves similar skin rejuvenation results as Botox and Dysport. It works by weakening the muscles in charge of making facial expressions on the surface of the skin.

As always, the results may differ from patient to patient. The results, on average, last anywhere from 3-6 months. Xeomin results do require maintenance and will require follow-up injections in order to maintain desired results.

Xeomin results are like those produced by Botox or Dysport.

    Botox and Wrinkle Treatment

Botox is an injection of onabotulinumtoxinA and is probably the most famous of all for wrinkle treatment. Botox is used in the same way as Xeomin and Dysport.

Like all injectables, it should be administered by a certificated injector.

Botox injections work by temporarily paralyzing or weakening the tiny facial muscles which contribute to the formation of wrinkles. Botox uses a non-harmful chemical that causes a paralyzing effect.

    • Botox takes about as long for the results to show as Xeomin and Dysport.
    • The results last roughly between 3-6 months.
    • The procedure is pain-free or with little pain.

    Dermal Fillers and Wrinkle Treatment

Dermal Fillers are injections used to plump and smooth an area of the skin. Depending on the type of dermal filler used,  results can last anywhere from 8 months to even 2 years. A typical dermal filler treatment session will last approximately 60 minutes.

Fillers are safe but certain side effects such as redness, rash, itching, swelling or even bruising may occur. These side effects are rare and not common.

One side-effect that is common and can make patients nervous is the “overfilled” look. If injected properly, this “overfilled” look is temporary and will settle into a more natural rejuvenated look.

Fillers have become a very popular wrinkle treatment in the last decade. From volume loss under the eyes to fine lines, dermal fillers are a safe choice for anyone who takes their skin rejuvenation seriously and is looking for a product that works.

    Morpheus8 and Wrinkle Treatment

Morpheus8 treatment used for skin rejuvenation involves Microneedling and Radiofrequency.

Morpheus8 can penetrate the skin at an incredibly deep level which can help change your complexion and give you that youthful, rejuvenated skin you crave. Morpheus8 stimulates collagen production by using radiofrequency. Collagen is the key ingredient to smooth, wrinkle-free skin.

Side effects differ from patient to patient, but the average person can expect to experience at least one of the following if not all: swelling, itching, or redness. These side effects typically last around 3 days. While any kind of side effect is daunting, the results are definitely worth it.

You will begin to see a difference and improvement in your skin a few days after your treatment. Results happen more gradually over time and it will take roughly 3 months to see the full effect.

While the results may be gradual they will last up to two years!

PRF or PRP for Wrinkle Treatment?

First off, what are these two forms of skin rejuvenation?

PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma, injects your own blood platelets and plasma into your skin. As soon as your own platelet-rich plasma is injected, the healing properties begin rejuvenating your skin. It creates a smooth wrinkle-free appearance on your skin. This works because of the growth factors found in PRP which act as a collagen stimulant. It is truly an amazing revelation for skin rejuvenation.

PRF – Platelet Rich Fibrin, similar to PRP, involves platelet cytokines, growth factors, and cells which work together to enhance skin rejuvenation. PRF contains higher levels of fibrin (a blood protein) and white blood cells. The higher levels of fibrin allow for the other growth factors to be released more gradually over time – meaning longer-lasting results.

The big difference between these two forms of treatment and the others previously discussed is that they use natural components of the body itself.

As you can see, skin rejuvenation is not as complicated as you think. Wrinkles are yesterday’s problem! Book your free consultation today and we will help you create the best treatment plan for you.
